The CM-400 Crisis Management Manager Blended Learning is an advanced Crisis Management course equivalent to the international certification Crisis Management Manager course. It allows busy crisis management executives to study with minimal disruption to their schedules.
The course is divided into 2 modules where each module allows you to understand to manage a crisis management team, execute crisis communication and develop a crisis simulation exercise. To attempt the course, one has to complete the CM-300 Crisis Management Implementer Blended Learning Course.
The course would put more emphasis on pandemic management and how it relates to crisis management.
It is expected to be completed within 4 weeks.
In the first module, participants will explore their role as crisis management managers and the importance of crisis leadership. They will be walking through the different crisis phases and understand how the ISO 22300 Societal Security – Guidelines for Incident Preparedness and Operational Continuity Management can be implemented.
Pre-readings and guidance notes would be shared before participants join a two (2) 3-hours facilitated online workshop on different days.

It would then be followed up by the second module where participants will be tasked to design a crisis simulation that would be able to test a person’s role and function in a crisis or emergency.

Certification is awarded to participants who successfully completed all Blended Learning sessions and their assignments, pass the Qualifying CMCE examination and at the end of module assessment, pay a one-time administrative fee and sends in an application detailing at least 3 years of CM experience, and satisfies and meets the experience requirements of the independent certification body.

This course incorporates a 150-Multiple Choice Question electronic exam the next day. The duration of the examination is 3 and 1/2 hours. Candidates who achieve a passing score of 75% or higher are eligible to apply for the BCM Institute’s Crisis Management Certified Expert (CMCE) accreditation. The examination fee is included as part of the course fee.
This course fee does not include application processing fee for the CMCS certification.
